If you plan to utilize your health insurance benefits, please let us know prior to your first appointment. We can assist you in verifying coverage, deductibles and copays with your plan. Please note that Medicaid recipients cannot use private pay. All out of pocket payments are due at time of services.
If we are out of network with your insurance, don’t be dismayed! We can provide what is known as a “superbill” (a detailed receipt of services) to submit to your insurance. You are still responsible to pay for services at the time they are rendered; however, you may be eligible to receive some, or all, of that amount back from your insurance company.
HOW LONG WILL I BE IN THERAPY?
This depends entirely on you! If you are looking for assistance on one specific current problem and need some extra coping skills or looking for a different perspective from an unbiased outsider, you may only need 2-4 sessions. If you have a long history of trauma and have stored that trauma in your body for most of your life, we can relieve the heavy burden you’e been carrying; however, it will take more time.
IS IT REALLY CONFIDENTIAL?
YES! Your right to privacy is not only my top priority, it’s the law! This is your story, your life, and it is up to you to decide who, when and how much you want to share. Like everything else, there are a few exceptions: if you share you are going to hurt yourself or someone else, if you disclose child abuse or elder abuse or if a judge orders some of your information for court, I am mandated to disclose this information. I do my best to maintain as much privacy and confidentiality within the requirements of each situation. ANY disclosure of your information will require your written consent on what, how much and with whom it will be shared.
